Life's Little Blessings: Showered With Love! (Part 2)

My goal is to blog about one shower each night so that by the end of the week I will have shared all of them! I hope I'm able to obtain this goal!

Our second shower was held the day after our Louisville shower. Adam's mom, Kaylene, and sister, Andrea, threw a shower for us at church. The entire congregation, as well as many family members, were invited to attend this shower. We knew it would probably be rather large, so we had it in the Fellowship Hall at church. We ended up having a beautiful day and a great turn out at the shower! The guests participated in a few games before enjoying some yummy food. Kaylene made the cake and the cupcakes and they were both a big hit!

After playing games, I began opening presents while the rest of the guests ate. There were so many presents to open that it took me almost an hour! Baby Poff was given so many wonderful, sentimental gifts at this shower. One of my favorite gifts was a copy of Adam's favorite book when he was a little boy. Kaylene searched everywhere to find it because it is no longer in print. It meant a lot to Adam that his mom and dad went through such great lengths to find this book for him to read to his son! Kaylene also made Baby Poff a beautiful afghan! It has already been put in the closet where it will stay until he is older! My mom also got Baby Poff some ties to wear so he can be just like his daddy! After we found out we were having a boy, Adam said he wanted his son to have a white collared shirt and a tie, since that is what he wears to work every day!

The day was a reminder of how blessed Adam and I are to be a part of such an amazing church family! We were also so grateful that so many of our family members took time out of their day to help us celebrate this joyous occasion!
