This week: The baby is sixteen inches from head to toe and weighs 2 and a half pounds! This week the baby is beginning to develop different sleep cycles, including the rapid eye movement phase, the stage when dreaming occurs! By now his lungs have reached the point of maturity.
Weight gain: +1, Total weight gain, +15.
How I'm feeling: I still feel great! This past week I have started to experience some major heartburn! It mostly occurs in the middle of the night. There hasn't been a night in the last 8 days that I haven't been woken up by the discomfort of heartburn. It's not fun, but I'm hoping that the old saying is true...more heartburn=more hair! We had a great Christmas with both families! Baby Poff had many presents of his own under the tree! There is no question about whether this baby is going to be spoiled! While we were at my parents' house, my mom, grandma, and grandpa were all able to feel him kick! On Christmas day, Adam's parents were both able to feel him kick! I'm so glad that our family members are able to feel those special kicks! It's such a neat thing to experience!
