This week: The baby is seventeen inches from head to toe and weighs close to three pounds! This week his skin is smoothing out as more fat is deposited under the surface. The buds for his permanent teeth are forming in his gums as well.
Weight gain: +3, Total weight gain, +18.
How I'm feeling: I still feel great! I went back to school this week, and I had forgotten how exhausting teaching is...especially when you are pregnant! I think the kids (and the teachers) were surprised at how much my belly grew over the break. We had our 28 week appointment this week and everything still looks good! His heart beat was 148 bpm, and as always, was music to my ears! My belly is just a tad over 28 centimeters, but the doctor wasn't worried, especially since I'm just a tad over 28 weeks. We were supposed to have an ultrasound to check the baby's growth and position, but it had to be rescheduled for our 30 week appointment because the ultrasound tech was sick. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get a look at my growing baby! I was really looking forward to finding out how long he is, how much he weighs, and what position he is in, but I guess I will have to just have to wait!
