This post was taken from my school blog! I wanted to share how I shared the big news with my class!
After many days of anticipation, I finally shared my secret with the class! I'm very excited to announce that we are expecting a healthy baby BOY!!!!!
I wanted to do something special to share this exciting news, so I came up with the idea to involve food (what third grader doesn't love a treat?)! So, after taking a vote (15 voted boy and 8 voted girl), I passed out some yummy treats to the class. The kids weren't sure what part of the treat would spill the beans, but they were guessing that it would be in the middle of the cupcake (a few even stuck their finger in the middle to see if there was anything there!). Instead, I tricked them and put the secret on the bottom! Here are some pictures from our special moment:

Michieli was the first one to find the secret sticker on the bottom. The sticker read "It's a BOY!"

Today was another special day with my class and I feel truly blessed to have such wonderful students that not only care about me, but also my baby! I'm so glad that I can share these special moments with each and everyone of my students!
