This week: The baby is about eight inches long (the length of a spaghetti squash) and finally weighs a pound! This week the baby is developing the sense of touch and is learning to hold on tight to the umbilical cord. The baby can also perceive light and dark. The eyelashes and eyebrows are now well formed and even more hair is sprouting from his little head.
Weight gain: +0, Total weight gain, +8.
How I'm feeling: I still feel great! I wore my first maternity shirt (the one in the picture below) this week! It's still a little big, but I was amazed at how well it actually fit! Up until now I have been wearing all of my regular shirts, but I noticed last week that some of them are starting to look a little short in the front! I've been holding off as long as I can, as I know that I will probably get bored with my small collection of maternity shirts before the winter is over!
