1 Year Old!

Weight-22.4 pounds (up from 19.11 at nine months)

Length-29.75 inches (up from 29.00 inches at nine months)

Eating-Every 4.5-5.0 hours.  He is eating breast milk and cereal (mixed with about 2 ounces of milk) around 8:00, breast milk and a jar of vegetables around 12:00, breast milk and a jar of fruits around 5:00, and nursing again before bed at 8:00. 

He really enjoys puffs and the yogurt melts.  We still haven't tried him on any real table food.  We also haven't tried him on whole milk yet.  We are waiting until our 12 month check-up before we begin the next stage of food. 

Sleep-Between 11-12 hours a night!  He is still such a good sleeper.  He is still taking two good naps each day.  He will usually take one 1.5-2.0 hour nap each day.  Sometimes it's his morning nap and sometimes it's his afternoon one.  He is usually awake for about 2-2 1/2 hours in between naps.  On a good day we can still get an early evening nap out of him, but those days are becoming fewer and farther between!

Other-Our biggest "other" moments this month came from his first birthday!  We had such a great time celebrating with all of our family and friends.  The day was beautiful so we were able to go outside and enjoy his new presents!

• Gigi, Pappy, Nana, PopPop, Andrea, Abby, Sue, Bruce, Grandmother, Granddaddy, Aunt Sherry, Uncle Paul, Emily, Kaylee, Aricka, Rily, Von, Josh, Katlynne, Braden, Mommy, and Daddy all came out to celebrate the big day!
• He really wasn't that into opening his presents!  We ended up putting him in the bike that we gave him and let him open them there!  That way he was contained to one spot.  
• He LOVED his outdoor toys (bike and truck).  We couldn't get him to come inside after we let him play with them!
• He really didn't care much for his cake.  He played with the frosting a little, but he wasn't too interested in eating it or the cake!
• Adam had to go to St. Louis on his actual birthday. It was a very hard day for Daddy!  He hated having to leave his baby boy on his birthday.  We went to church that morning and then came home so Adam could spend a little extra time with Ethan before he had to leave.  The day was rainy and cold, so I'm really glad that we celebrated his birthday on Saturday instead!
• In other news, he hasn't added any new words to his vocabulary.  He also still isn't walking on his own (which Mommy is okay with)!  He LOVES to be outside.  He will let me push him up and down the driveway in his bike or truck for a really long time.  He also loves to go for walks with Mommy in his stroller.  He is still happy all of the time!  He always has a smile on his face.  He has recently become obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  He loves watching it on TV and he dances like crazy to the "Hot Dog" song!
