Weight-19.11 pounds, (up from 18.3 at eight months)
Length-29.00 inches
Clothes-6-9 months, about ready to move to 9-12 months
Diapers-size 3
Eating-Every 3.0-3.5 hours. Since I am still nursing him we don't really know how much he is eating, but we think around 6-7 ounces. He usually eats for about 8-10 minutes at each feeding. We are currently eating a vegetable at lunch and a fruit at dinner. We switched to Stage 2 foods a few weeks ago, and in the past week he's started eating a whole jar of vegetables and a whole jar of fruit each day! He's still nursing well, and I'm hoping to ween him from his 2:00 p.m. feeding while I'm home during Christmas break.
Sleep-Between 11-12 hours a night! He is so easy to put down for a nap or for bed! All he needs is his blanket and his thumb and he's fast asleep. He is still taking three naps each day. He is getting better about his naps too. He will usually take one 1.5-2.0 hour nap each day. Sometimes it's his morning nap and sometimes it's his afternoon one. He is usually awake for about 2-2 1/2 hours in between naps.
Other-This past month has brought a lot of changes! Here is a recap of all of the milestones Ethan reached!
- He now has three teeth! The bottom two came in last month, and his top left one came in a few weeks ago. His top right is really close to coming in too. I'm hoping by Christmas it will pop through!
- In addition to Mama, Dada, and bye bye, he can now say Nana and Ho Ho Ho! His Nana was pretty excited when he started saying her name! His favorite is still Mama! He says it over and over and over again. I have to admit it never gets old! I could listen to his sweet voice say my name forever!
- He scoots on his bottom and on his belly, especially on hard wood floors! At first he looked like he was swimming on his belly, but now he does more of a worm crawl. His bottom goes up in the air as he pushes himself forward! He loves being on the hardwood floor in the kitchen. As soon as you put him down he goes straight for Charlie's dog bowl! He's really fast too!
- He loves knobs! As soon as he sees a knob or a handle of any kind he goes straight to it! He will pull it open and then close it again. Eventually he will peek around the side to see what is on the inside!
- This month he saw Santa for the first time! He was very curious about the big guy. We sat him on his lap and he just kept turning around to get a good look at him. He wanted to touch his suit, his beard, his gloves, etc.
- This past month we also took Ethan to help GiGi and Pappy cut down their Christmas tree. This is something that my family has done for as long as I can remember and I was really excited to be able to take Ethan with us this year. It was a very cold day, and he had to stay bundled and close to his mommy, but it was a fun experience. Next year I'm pretty sure I will be chasing him around all of the trees!
- We introduced Ethan to a new toy this month, a barn play area. Basically you sit inside of the barn area and there are things for him to play with. One of the things is a ball slide. You drop the balls into a hole and then it exits at the bottom. Well, one day we set Ethan inside of the barn. He immediately picked up the balls (he loves balls) and tried to put them in the hole! We didn't even have to show it to him or anything!!! I think we have a genius on our hands!
