7 Months

Weight-17.2 pounds, (up from 16.2 at six months)

Length-28.00 inches, (up from 27.75 at six months)

Clothes-6-9 months

Diapers-size 2

Eating-Every 3.0-3.5 hours.  Since I am still nursing him we don't really know how much he is eating, but we think around 6 ounces.  He usually eats for about 8-10 minutes at each feeding.  He is still doing really well with his rice cereal!  He gets really excited when you put the bib on him and he sees the bowl of food.  We started fruits after his six month appointment.  The doctor told us to do 5-6 days of one fruit before we start another one.  He also told us not to feed him baby food until after he has had his milk.  We have started doing cereal after his 8:00 a.m. bottle.  Then he eats half a can of stage 1 baby food after his 11:00 and 5:00 feedings.  We started with bananas, and after the first day he LOVED them.  Next we moved to pears and he couldn't get enough of those.  He likes apples and peaches too, but not nearly as much as bananas and pears!  I think we have a fruit eater on our hands!!!

Sleep-Between 11-12 hours a night!  We have finally broken him of his swaddle.  He is still sleeping in the Halo sleep sack, but we aren't tucking his arms in.  We just lay him down and give him his blanket (aka burp rag).  He puts his right thumb in his mouth and holds the blanket up to his face with his left hand.  It didn't take him long to adjust to not being swaddled.  He is still taking about three 45 minute naps each day (sometimes a little longer).  He is usually awake for about 2-2 1/2 hours in between naps.

Other-This past month Mommy and Daddy left Ethan over night for the very first time!  Mommy and Daddy had a wedding to go to in Nashville, so Ethan spent the night with Nana.  He did really well!  Kaylene came to stay at our house so we didn't have to pack everything up!  I think they both had a really good night.  Adam and I couldn't get back fast enough the next day!  We both laughed because we turned the tv on when we got to the hotel and we found ourselves watching a kid movie!  I guess that's what happens when you become a parent!

Ethan also had his first "major" booboo (sp?)!  One of the little girls tripped over her pants that were too long.  As she fell forward the toy that she had in her hand flew forward and landed right on Ethan's left eye!  I thought for sure that he was going to have a black eye, but it just scabbed over and was gone about 4-5 days later!

During the past month I was able to spend a whole week with him during my fall break!  We had so much fun together (minus the first day when he had a really bad cold and was really grumpy!).  We stayed busy the whole time with visits to PCS to see Abby, family pictures, and a trip to Louisville to go shopping with GiGi and cousin Rily.  Spending extra time with my little guy was amazing and it made me really excited about our time together next summer!

Ethan is also sitting up on his own now!  He is still kind of wobbly, and it usually just lasts for a few minutes, but he's so much better than he was even just a few weeks ago!  It seems like each week he is getting better and better at sitting on his own.

Since he is able to sit up on his own, we decided to move him to his big boy bath tub!  He LOVES it!!!  He sits and splashes and chases after his toys the whole time!  When I try to wash him he gives me a look like he's trying to tell me that washing him is getting in the way of his playing!

This month we took Ethan on his first visit to pick pumpkins at the pumpkin patch.  We had a beautiful Saturday with no plans, so we invited Nana and PopPop to go with us and off we went.  We went to Heavenly Haven Farms and I was really impressed with how nice it was.  We took my first grade class there a few years ago, but it has changed so much since then.  We saw several of my students while we were there and I loved getting to show off my cutie!  The best part of the trip was the beautiful pictures that we were able to take!

He just keeps getting more and more fun the older he gets!!!  I love that he is finally able to interact with us!  People often tell me after seeing his pictures on Facebook that he must be a really happy baby, and he is!  He seriously just smiles all of the time!!  It just makes me such a happy mommy to have such a happy baby!

Here are some of my favorite pictures of my sweet seven month old baby!
