I pretty much spend my entire day holding, cuddling, and playing with this little guy! Unfortunately, his naps in the past month have gone from about 1.5-2 hours to about 45 minutes (his night time sleep has increased from about 9 hours to 10 or 11 hours though)! That means that I have to make the most of nap time, and so I usually spend it cleaning the house, walking on the treadmill, showering, or working on things for school!
We have had a great summer together, and I'm VERY sad that it's coming to an end. So here's what we've been up to lately:
- reading books (both children and adult books)
- singing songs
- cuddling
- rocking
- playing on the floor
- playing with toys
- swinging
- walking outside and on the treadmill
- visiting cousin Abby for lunch
- shopping (he's a good shopper!)
- swimming
- napping (only him...not me!)
- meeting friends for lunch
- Facebooking (yes, Ethan likes to look at the pictures on the screen)
- feeding (which includes a lot of spitting up!)
- laundry (that's a must when someone in the house goes through 2-3 outfits a day!)
- washing cars (Ethan sits in his stroller and watches while Mommy and Daddy work)
- going on vacation (to Great Wolf Lodge for Adam's work and GiGi and Pappy's)
- welcoming new babies into the world
- and most importantly...smiling!
As you can see we stay pretty busy! It's hard to believe that the summer is over! When I met with my new class in May, we made Summer Bucket Lists. I found the idea on Pinterest and I thought it would be fun to check our lists in the fall to see how mahnI decided to make one with them. It's been fun trying to mark things off of my list and I'm proud to say that I think I have accomplished every goal that I set for this summer. However, my to-do list is a different story! I don't think I've marked anything off of that! Oh well, those things can wait, because right now I'm making memories with my sweet baby, who will never be this age again. So maybe I didn't get my attic organized, or my windows washed, but I did get lots of cuddles and smiles from the sweetest little boy I know! Here are some pictures (in no particular order) to remember our first summer together:
