3 Months...Better Late Than Never!

So this post is about a month late (actually today is his 4 month birthday), but I still want to remember my little guy at 3 months old.  His 3 month birthday was also on Father's Day!  We had a great time celebrating Ethan's monthly birthday and Daddy's first Father's Day!

Weight-13.11 (up from 11.12 at two months)

Length-25.25 inches (up from 24 at two months)

Clothes-0-3 months  Most of his onesies still fit really well, but some of his other outfits are too short.  I think we will be switching over to 3-6 month clothes really soon.

Diapers-size 1, but we are really close to size 2, we just have a few more 1s to use up

Eating-Every 2.5-3.5 hours.  Since I am nursing him we don't really know how much he is eating, but we think around 5-6 ounces.  He usually eats for about 10-15 minutes at each feeding.  We stopped giving him 2 ounces of formula at night around 11 weeks.  He hasn't even missed it!

Sleep-Between 9-10 hours a night!  He started sleeping this long around 10 weeks.  I really thought it was just a fluke thing, but after a few nights we realized that it was here to stay!  We are still swaddling him at night and during nap time, and it works like magic!  We are putting him down around 10:00 each night and he is sleeping until 6:30 or 7:00 the next morning.  At 11 weeks we moved him upstairs to his own bed.  He seems to really like it and it has helped him sleep in a little longer.  He is such a good sleeper!

Other-Ethan is smiling even more now!  The more he smiles, the easier it is to see that he has his Mommy's eyes!  His smile is just so contagious!  He has also started sitting in his Bumbo.  He can't sit in it for long, but he likes to sit up and see everything.  He still does not like tummy time, but it is helping his neck strength.  We try to comprise by letting him do tummy time on our stomachs!  He seems to like that a little better!  He is also starting to grow some hair on the top of his head!  He had a lot of hair when he was born, but around 6-7 weeks he started to lose it!  He looks like an old man with a bald spot on the top, but really thick hair in the back and sides!  He has also started holding on to his toys this month.  He especially loves the lady bug on his activity mat.  If you pull on the cord it plays a song.  He has figured this out and he grabs onto the cord for dear life!  It just plays music over and over and he loves it!  He also loves to stare at the turtle on his car seat.  There is a mirror on the bottom of the turtle and he will stare at it forever!  His other new trick this month is blowing bubbles.  He blows them so much that he ends up soaking his shirt!  He's really proud of this accomplishment!  This past month we took our first trip away from home.  Aunt Katlynne graduated from high school so we headed up to Indiana for the weekend.  Ethan and I made the trip on Thursday and Daddy joined us on Friday.  Ethan slept the entire way!  I was really nervous that he wouldn't sleep well since we were in a new place, but he did fine.  He woke up a few times during the night, but he went right back to sleep after I gave him his paci.  He also took GREAT naps while we were there!  On Friday night we had a party for Katlynne.  It was great being able to introduce him to some of his family members that he hadn't met yet.  Of course he got lots of attention the entire time he was there!  Ethan and I have been enjoying our time together now that school is out.  Even during my maternity leave I still had school work to do.  Now that school's out I don't have anything to distract me during the day (except my sweet baby boy)!  We are looking forward to spending time with family and friends and doing some traveling over the next few weeks.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of my sweet three month old baby!
