Life With Ethan-Week 2

Our second week with Ethan was pretty calm, we just had a lot of visitors!  Adam's mom and my mom were there with us for the entire week.  It was nice having them because I still wasn't able to drive!  Nana and I had some fun at the beginning of the week playing photographers!  We set up a little photo shoot to take some pictures of Ethan!  Nana and I also took Ethan back for a weight check on Monday and he was up to 7-5!  The doctor said he was gaining a good amount and that we didn't need to bring him back unless we wanted to.

Mommy and Ethan on his due date!

On Thursday Adam and I went on our first date since Ethan's birth!  We left Ethan at home and had a nice dinner at the Still House.  It was nice to be able to get out of the house!  No date is complete without a trip to Walmart!  Between dinner and errands, we were gone for about an hour and a half.  We knew that he was in good hands while we were gone, but we couldn't help but spend most of our time talking about him during dinner!

My mom went home Friday afternoon, so that evening we were on our own as a family of 3 for the first time!  Saturday Adam had a meeting in Lexington, so that left Ethan and I at home by ourselves!  Things were going well at first.  He slept until around 9:00, when he was ready to eat.  Before I fed him I decided to change his diaper.  He was dirty so I had his legs pulled up to clean him off.  Just as I went to wipe off his hiney, he decided to squirt out some more poo!  It went all over my hand, my shirt, the changing table, the wall, and the carpet!  At the same time he started peeing everywhere!  I was standing there (with poo on my hand) thinking, "What do I do now?".  There was no one that I could even call for to come help me!  It was just me and him!  We finally got everything cleaned up (except the carpet because I couldn't carry the carpet cleaner down the stairs).  By the time Adam got home we were both clean, dressed, and happy!  Besides the diaper fiasco, we had a good morning!  Ethan just wanted to make sure that I was welcomed into Mommyhood the right way!

Saturday night Ethan watched the Cats beat Louisville to go to the championship game!  He was very excited, as you can see!  His daddy was also very excited, and very nervous!  This makes Ethan's third UK game, and third UK win!

This is a 0-3 month sleeper.  I realize it's way too big on him, but he had to wear something UK for the big game!
