32 Weeks

Sorry this is a little late! It's been a VERY busy week!!!

This week: The baby is nineteen inches from head to toe and weighs four and a half pounds!  His weight gain could range anywhere from a third more to a full doubling before he makes his big arrival (I'm hoping for a seven pounder).  By now he has developed his own immune system that will be able to provide protection from mild infections inside the womb.

Weight gain: +2, Total weight gain, +22.  

How I'm feeling: I still feel great!  This little guy was SOOO active on Monday!  I don't know if he was just worn out from the busy weekend or what, but he was moving like crazy all day long!  He kicked me at one point and it startled me so much that my kids asked what was wrong!  Adam got to feel him that night and he too couldn't believe how crazy his movements felt!  We had our 32 week check-up on Thursday and everything still looks great!  His heartbeat was 139 bpm and sounded really good.  The doctor said that he's moved up a little, which I already knew because I can feel him near my ribs, but that he's still head down.  He didn't have any concerns and said that everything looks great!  We go back in 2 more weeks for another check-up.
