I just had this feeling that something was different! After spending the afternoon with Adam's family, I decided to stop by Walmart and pick up a pregnancy test. Not wanting to get my hopes up, I chose the 5 pack (it really was the best value), and came home. After about two minutes the word "Pregnant" popped up in the window! I couldn't believe it! I immediately took a picture with my phone and sent a text to Adam with the caption, "Surprise!" I didn't hear back from him for a while and I was starting to get nervous. He finally texted me back saying that he wasn't surprised! I guess when you're trying to get pregnant it's not a big surprise when you actually do! Anyway, we were going out to dinner that night to celebrate his dad's birthday so we decided to keep it a secret until we had more of a confirmation.

Morning sickness hit for the first time! I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom! Adam came in to comfort me. After I felt better he said, "Congrats! I guess this means you're pregnant!"

Our first doctor's appointment! Adam came home and we had a nice lunch (of Taco Bell) and spent some time together before going to our first appointment. We both were amazed at some of the things we saw while waiting in the lobby! Finally we were called back for our ultrasound! It didn't take long for the ultrasound tech to find the baby! She confirmed that I was exactly 8 weeks! She turned the sound on so that we could hear the heartbeat. It was going strong! The doctor then came in to talk to us about a few routine things and answer our questions. We made our appointments for the next 3 visits and then we were on our way.

We shared the news with Adam's parents! We decided to invite his parents over to eat dinner with us. We do this pretty often, so neither one of them thought anything of it. After we finished eating, Adam disappeared to the bedroom. He came back out with the ultrasound picture hidden inside a piece of paper. He handed it to his dad and asked him to take a look at it! It didn't take long for Thomas to figure out what it was! Kaylene still didn't know what was going on! As soon as she caught a glimpse of the picture she started beaming from ear to ear! She didn't want to leave that night because she knew she couldn't talk about it anymore once she left! Adam and Thomas did some planning for some upcoming house projects that we want to tackle while Kaylene and I just enjoyed talking about the baby, the future, and being pregnant! It was such a special night and I know that it will never be forgotten!

We shared the news with my parents! My Grammy had just had surgery a few days before, so my mom and dad hadn't been together all week. We wanted to wait until they could be together before we shared the news with them. That night they were meeting for dinner before they went to Katlynne's first cross country meet. I knew that was our only window of opportunity! So we called them while they were eating dinner to share the news! They were both very excited! I wish we could have told them in person, but we probably won't see them again until September, and I knew my mom would be mad if we waited that long! My mom said she couldn't stop smiling! She too was upset that she couldn't talk about it to anyone else! I know it had to kill her! After they finished their meal, we skyped with them to show them the ultrasound picture! Even though they have done this 4 other times, it's still just as exciting!
